Detailing & Working Drawings

YEAR 2 SEMESTER 3 WEEK 4

So Last week (week3) we learned about the difference between a loose furniture and a built in furniture. Bassically loose furniture are furnitures that are movable and are not fix in a single space. As for a built in furniture, they are furnitures that are built in the wall or attached to the wall or even ceiling or floor.Besides that they are not movable and are permenantly fix in a space.

Below are examples of loose furniture and a built in furniture.

AND AS FOR THE ACTIVITY IN THE CLASS

We were told to draw a loose furniture and a built in furniture base on our understanding.

SO here are the drawings that was drawn by each of the members from the group.

Detailing & Working Drawings

YEAR 2 SEMESTER 3 WEEK 2

So the last post that was posted for Detailing & Working drawing was about the book cover that i have design and also about the group activities that was held in the class...

Last week itself the lecturer gave each of us a task to finish it during the weekends AND the TASK is drawing the furnitures which we have choosen for last week's class. If you see back the previous post, there was a quick sketch of a table that was drawn by each of the group members. As you can see in the sketch itself they were a few mistakes that need to be fix and so the lecturer wants us to learn how to draw in a proper way. So in the class itself we were taught on what To Do & what Not To Do. The lecturers themself gave a few examples on how to write specifications on furnitures with the right measurements, materials and finishes without using ruler.

AND THIS IS WHAT I HAVE DONE

Ermmmm not sure if i did it correctly but i guess i have to practice more to make it perfect.

Detailing & Working Drawings

YEAR 2 SEMESTER 3 WEEK 1

Pheewww i am already in my second year of degree...i guess time do flies really fast.Anyway we have this class called detailing & working drawings for this semester and the first task we are asked to do was designing the cover of our sketchbook.
And that is what i came up with

well moving next........is what we learn in class during the first lecture.
SO first of all what is the difference between Detailing & Working Drawings?

Well basically Detailing conveys as much information about a single component while Working drawings are not so detailed.

NEXT is the Title Block.

The title block that consists of
#1 Revision/Note
#2 Project title
#3 Drawing title
#4 Compay's detail
#5 Date,Scale,Drawingby,Approved by,Drawing number
#6 Copyright,project by.

The next thing we were told to divide into groups which consits of 4members in each group.were asked to pick a furniture and later we had to draw it out with measurements.

This is US while trying to assign task to each members.

AND This is what we came out with...

So after all this drawing, we were told to present it in the class and with the help of ourclassmates we were able to find out mistakes that was made in the drawings itself.
